Our Leak Detection Process
Finding the source of the leak is the first step in the process of repairing the leak. Before we begin, we'll make sure that there is, in fact, a leak in your pool. Water loss can be caused simply by evaporation or splashing, so we'll perform tests to ensure that your water loss is actually stemming from a leak in your pool.
Once we've confirmed that there is a leak in your Monroe home's pool, we'll determine its location. To do this, we look at areas where leaks most commonly occur and begin a process of elimination. One by one, we either eliminate or confirm areas of your pool as the source of the leak using dye testing, pressure testing, and sonic amplification.
After we've located any leaks, we'll be able to provide you with thorough and accurate leak repairs.
Underground Pipe Leaks
It's actually very unlikely that an underground pipe will be the cause of the lake in your pool. Most of the time, pool leaks do not occur in the plumbing. In order to determine whether your pool leak is occurring in the plumbing, we'll shut off the pump and plugs at once. If the leak stops, we can perform a pressure test on the underground plumbing pipes. In most cases, a small 3’x3’ hole can be cut into the deck, to repair the break. Very rarely does the entire run of pipe need to be replaced.
